Riverside Park. Ypsilanti, MI The Annual Show & Shine Street Rod Show, sponsored by the Ypsilanti Area Street Rods, will rumble into Riverside Park. Roaring mufflers and classic tunes will rock Depot Town all day long. Beautifully restored Street Rods of Hot Pink, Lime Green and Lipstick Red will rattle your bones and put a smile on your face. If you’ve never seen a flame throwing contest, or a hydraulics exhibition, then pony on down to Depot Town.
The Mid Michigan Modern Muscle Car Club first weekly car cruise is scheduled for Tuesday May 6th, at John’s Pizzeria and Restaraunt in Davison Michigan from 6pm-9pm. John’s is on Davison Rd between Irish Rd and M-15. The cruise is open to any American Branded car from any era.

Line up is in Ludington park at 6:00pm. The parade starts at 7:00pm followed by a cruise along the bay, through Gladstone, then back to the UP State Fairgrounds for the Riverside Auto /Vollwerths participants night. Participant’s night consists of food and fun for all, and music is provided by a DJ playing all of our favorite oldies and contemporary hits. Friday’s participant’s night is made possible by Vollwerths meats and the Riverside Auto Group. Fun Run 2008 car show kicks off Saturday June 2nd at 7:00am when the gates open at the UP State Fairgrounds. The day starts off with a Pancake Breakfast at 7:00 am served by the Ford River Lions Club. Participants from all over the Midwest and Canada attend the festivities and a great time is had by all. There is a swap meet and car corral, food vendors, parts vendors, t- shirts, displays, plus much more to see and do, including the Bay Bank children’s pedal tractor pulling, the burnout contest, and the “guess how long it will run without oil” contest. And we are proud to announce that the exciting BURNOUT contest was back by popular demand. Cars and trucks lit them up for a chance to win the $500.00 first prize. A special addition to our annual Fun Run is the Livernois chassis dyno!! The festivities will be topped off by a Saturday night dance. Started in 2005 as a way to help raise money for the American Cancer Society, the show was so well received that it has now become an annual event, getting bigger and better every year. As the name of the show implies, custom vehicles converge on the town of Lake Orion, Michigan to show their stuff and compete for some unique custom trophies. There’s also an auction with tons of great items donated from companies. Over $6000 has been raised for the American Cancer Society through the past shows.
